Edmund Rice Education

St Paul's College is a member of Edmund Rice Education Australia a body of over 50 Australian schools, entities and offices offering Catholic education in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice.

Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) was formed by the Christian Brothers in 2007, when they shifted their missional focus from education to social justice. The EREA has full responsibility for schools formerly operated by the Brothers.

Through holistic education, St Paul's College forms passionate and compassionate young people who are not only aware of the structures that prevent all creation from being fully alive, but also have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and spirit to act and advocate for a better world for all. The heart of our teaching and learning is informed by reading the signs of the times, reflecting on our spiritual foundations and drawing on the inspiration of individuals and movements that have gone before us and gifted us an inspired legacy.

As a community, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous people of Australia and are inspired and nurtured by the wisdom and experience they have in educating for justice. Aware of both the ongoing struggles and life giving nature of this endeavour, we dedicate ourselves to undertaking the journey of building a better world for all through educating for justice and peace.

Our educational endeavours are underpinned by four touchstones:

Gospel Spirituality.png

Gospel Spirituality

We invite all people into the story of Jesus and strive to make his message of compassion, justice and peace a living reality within our community.

Justice and Solidarity

We are committed to justice and peace for all, grounded in a spirituality of action and reflection that calls us to stand in solidarity with those who are marginalised and with the Earth itself.
