Learning

Our curriculum includes balanced and integrated learning experiences, to promote development of the whole person. We aim to educate in a relevant and meaningful way,  providing academic and practical options that challenge all aspects of learning and encourage students to extend themselves beyond their perceived capabilities. Learning programmes are structured to embrace Engagement, Relevance, Innovation, Creativity and Authenticity (ERICA).
Understanding the importance of core literacy and numeracy skills that students experience in traditional subject areas, St Paul’s also hosts a number of specialist areas that allow students to thrive and pursue their passions, including:

  • Art
  • Design and Technology
  • Drama
  • Italian
  • Media Arts
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • Robotics
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
  • LEAF (L: Literacy, Language and Literature E: Enterprise, Economics and Environment, A: Advocacy and Action, F: Faith and Formation)

In a world where information is readily available, we strive to develop students’ transferable skills of inquiry and problem solving, based on our understanding that situations, careers and technology constantly evolve and change. We ensure our students are prepared for their global world. Our structure, organisation and teaching methodologies reflect a commitment to:

  • student centred learning
  • fostering social skills and inclusively responding to student needs
  • ensuring students experience a wide range of academic and practical subjects
  • providing engaging co-curricular activities
  • encouraging development of sound study habits
  • providing stability and security while students grow as responsible and caring individuals.
