Grand Junction Trade Training Centre students are prepared for the workplace by experienced industry professionals who teach relevant, up-to-date skills and mentor them to become work-ready young apprentices.
Under their watchful eye, young people are taught to be self-managed and solve problems, and communicate clearly in demanding workplace situations. This combination produces productive, resilient, well-rounded employees who are ready to begin work in their chosen pathway and provide outstanding benefits to their employer.
Workplace providers have the opportunity:
- to be involved in the education and training of young people
- to enhance the professional development of their own employees as they gain experience as workplace supervisors
- to promote goodwill in the community through closer links with schools.
Industry placements are valuable experiences where students gain insight into the expectations and culture of the work place environment. We are always seeking partnerships with industry members interested in accepting our students to undertake work placements, which could lead into apprenticeships. If you would like to offer a work placement to a student please phone 8334 8363 or send us an email.
