Year 9 Cricket
Written on the 6 March 2017 by Mr Paul KempIn their first game of the season Cabra College defeated St Paul's College by five wickets. Put into bat, SPC made 8/71 with unbeaten double figure contributions from Braedyn Hasiuk, Luke Silvestri and Mann Barot. Cabra were in trouble at 3/15, but dropped catches and too many extras saw SPC's score easily overtaken.
A much better all-round performance resulted in a win against Cabra last Saturday. Jack Scalzi and Luke Silvestri were the leading wicket takers with two apiece, which helped restrict Cabra to 7/96. Saint Paul's finished with 5/103 with several players contributing. Angus O'Neil hit four boundaries in the top score of 18 no. The boys will be looking to continue this form in their first game at home next week.
