From the APRIM_3Mar

Written on the 6 March 2017 by Ms Angela Collins

This week we celebrated the beginning of Lent. Our Ash Wednesday liturgies were respectful and we welcomed Fr Mathew Raj OMI for his first St Paul's College experience. At our Mass we launched our Project Compassion Appeal which has a focus on 'Love your Neighbour' and so the challenge is on to maintain this for the whole Lenten Season.

I saw a wonderful post on social media the other day that I would like to share with you: (it is by Pope Francis)

Fast from hurting words and say kind words
Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude
Fast from anger and be filled with patience
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope
Fast from worries and have trust in God
Fast from complaints and contemplate simplicity
Fast from pressures and be prayerful
Fast from bitterness and fill your hearts with joy
Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others
Fast from grudges and be reconciled
Fast from words and be silent so you can listen
