St Paul's College's Year 12 Class of 2016 has achieved two of our most significant historical milestones: the largest number of students with an ATAR of 90 and above (21.7%), and the largest number of our students to achieve an ATAR between 80 and 90 (26.7%).

These figures combine to show that 48.4% of our cohort placed in the top 20% of students across South Australia.

This cohort also achieved St Paul's College's highest ever median ATAR of 79.4. This result is nine above our previous best.

Overall, 60% of all grades were in the A and B bands, with over 21% being in the A band across 13 different subject areas. This compares extremely favourably against any other group of young male students in the state.

These are outstanding results, of which we are very proud.

Business and Enterprise continues as one of our shining light subjects. In a class of 27 students, 20 achieved an A grade and six achieved a B grade. This is an outstanding performance and congratulations must be given to teacher, Mr Robert Nak.

The cohort achieved a 100% success rate in all maths and science subjects, as well as 100% success rate in all English subjects, including English as an Additional Language. A significant number also successfully achieved nationally recognised trade qualifications as part of their SACE studies. We are equally proud of their achievements.

Every year we acknowledge our highest achievers. This year, I am pleased to announce William Abbot with an ATAR of 98.95 as our 2016 Dux, and Fernando Grandioso, with an ATAR of 97.55, as our Proxime Accessit.
