Parents and friends

As a Catholic College, St Paul’s shares the responsibility for educating boys with their families, and places a great emphasis on educating our students in a Christian environment. Parents are expected to actively support these values and ideals.
Much research has been completed on the benefits of parents being involved in their child’s education thereby influencing their child’s performance at school:

>

>

>

>

the child sees the parent value education, so he in turn values it

parents impart values, aspirations and motivations needed to persevere and succeed in school

parents contribute positively to school culture

high parent aspirations for their child aids overall school achievement.

You can read more about the benefits of the school/home partnership here.

Parents have many opportunities to support their child and the
St Paul’s community through:

Project Compassion

St Paul’s students contribute regularly to Project Compassion, Caritas Australia’s annual fundraising appeal. Project Compassion runs over Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on Easter Sunday.

During Lent, schools and parishes are involved in learning activities that aim to change
the way we view the world.

In 2007, Project Compassion raised over $8 million to reduce poverty and help marginalised people and throughout the world.

Pedal Prix

Every year, St Paul’s boys enjoy participating in the showcase of design, technology, endurance, commitment and teamwork that is Pedal Prix.

Pedal Prix requires teams of students to design and construct a three-wheeled recumbent Human Powered Vehicle (HPV). Students then compete against other students in a timed endurance race.

Coming soon...Check out our Pedal Prix Gallery here.
