From the Deputy Principal_3Mar

Written on the 6 March 2017 by Mrs Mel Scherwitzel

What an incredibly eventful fortnight we have had at St Paul's College! Our Primary students have participated in swimming lessons, enjoyed their Retreats, as well as the engaging learning taking place in their vibrant classrooms.

The Secondary students have also been involved in some broader activities such as the co-curricular program, Year 8 camp, Open Day and Ash Wednesday Mass. Students in the Secondary school are also commencing a heavy assessment period too.  It is essential that the students establish a plan for study and homework if they are to meet deadlines.  If they want to achieve success they need to make it happen, it starts with the individual.  We are here to assist all our students to achieve success, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Below are important dates to be mindful of for the next fortnight:

  • Monday 6 March - Year 4 Zoo Snooze:  The Year 4 students will be staying at the Adelaide Zoo overnight. Animals are part of God's creation and our students will learn about the animals, in particular, the nightlife of the animals. Letters have been sent to families. Please check with your son's teacher if you require further information.

  • Wednesday 8 March - Year 11 & 12 Interviews:  This is the first chance that parents have a chance to meet senior teachers and receive initial feedback as to their son's application to their learning.  Appointments can be made online. Please make the most of this opportunity to meet with your son's teachers.

  • Monday 13 March - Adelaide Cup Day Public Holiday The school is closed on this day.

  • Wednesday 15 March - Sports Day Parents are invited to join us in our major sporting carnival for the year.  It is a great day of friendly competition and House Spirit.  Parents are encouraged to wear hats and to remain hydrated throughout the day.  Our students will be running some food stalls on the day, so food is available for purchase, but you may choose to bring lunch from home.  This is a compulsory day for all students.  Students will be dismissed at 3.20pm as per normal.
